More than just disappointing to note the empty stands on the east side of TD Stadium. A devastating comment on the relevance of college football in Canada. One of the top teams in the country cannot fill its facility and the apologists come forth to defend what appears to me to be a dying game in this country. Add in the number of high schools no longer playing the game, and it’s completely disheartening. That Waterloo @ Western game was an awe-inspiring event. Too bad that no television (local Rogers doesn’t count although it’s better than none at all) could view the game and too few students show on a regular basis. Just whistling in the dark in all likelihood.
