Aye. I'm not saying that Queen's is the beacon of academics in CIS football, just that Queen's has done an admirable job. There is still room for improvements, but that can't be done without the national body getting the work done! Of course it's "U-Sports" we're talking about though.....

As for your second point, absolutely this. That's what plagues many programs in the U.S as well. Vast majority of academic violations there seem to come from football and basketball though, slightly different from CIS where it extends into other sports (hockey, volleyball, etc).
