True, but if you can make the game an event the res kids go to, and they enjoy it, they're likely to keep going once they live off campus. For Alberta and Calgary, their stadiums are both at a train stop, so it should also be easy for students who live off campus to get there. It just needs to be an event that they want to go to.

Easier said than done, especially out West. It seems possible to have a one-off game that attracts the students early in the season, but as they get busier with school and the weather gets colder, the attendance drops off. I think the strategy in many places has been to enjoy that big crowd early in the year, and hope a small number of them get hooked and keep coming out.
