So we're at week 6 and the playoff picture is forming. Like 2009 and 2016 there appears to be a glut of teams that are battling for the spots and tie breakers will most likely come into play. As of now we know Western is, and will likely finish, #1 overall. After that there's a lot of guesswork to be done with the teams records and remaining games as follows;

1. Western: 4-0, Queens, Windsor, Ottawa, Laurier
2. Carleton: 4-1, Ottawa, Laurier, York
3. Ottawa: 3-1, Carleton, Toronto, Western, Queens
4. Waterloo: 3-2, York, Mac, Guelph
5. Mac: 3-2, Queens, Waterloo, Windsor
6. Queens: 3-2, Western, Mac, Ottawa
7. Laurier: 2-2, Guelph, Carleton, Windsor, Western
8. Guelph: 2-3, Laurier, Toronto, Waterloo

Of course I left out the bottom 3 as they aren't going to be in playoff contention barring some sort of series of miracles. We can pretty much assume any team who plays one of the bottom 3 will win (though the games have been closer this year than in years past between the middle and bottom) so that brings the projected records, and remaining opponents, to;

1. Western: 5-0, Queens, Ottawa, Laurier
2. Carleton: 5-1, Ottawa, Laurier
3. Ottawa: 4-1, Carleton, Western, Queens
4. Waterloo: 4-2, Mac, Guelph
5. Mac: 4-2, Queens, Waterloo
6. Queens: 3-2, Western, Mac, Ottawa
7. Laurier: 3-2, Guelph, Carleton, Western
8. Guelph: 3-3, Laurier, Waterloo

If we can assume Western will win out, that brings us to the following;

1. Western: 8-0
2. Carleton: 5-1, Ottawa, Laurier
3. Ottawa: 4-2, Carleton, Queens
4. Waterloo: 4-2, Mac, Guelph
5. Mac: 4-2, Queens, Waterloo
6. Queens: 3-3, Mac, Ottawa
7. Laurier: 3-3, Guelph, Carleton
8. Guelph: 3-3, Laurier, Waterloo

This means, if everyone (Western included) does what they "should" each team pretty much has 2 games left on the schedule to control their own destiny. My projections are as follows;

1. Western: 8-0
2. Ottawa: 6-2, Carleton (W), Queens (W)
3. Carleton: 6-2, Ottawa (L), Laurier (W)
4. Mac: 6-2, Queens (W), Waterloo (W)
5. Waterloo: 5-3, Mac (L), Guelph (W)
6. Laurier: 4-4, Guelph (W), Carleton (L)
7. Queens: 3-5, Mac (L), Ottawa (L)
8. Guelph: 3-5, Laurier (L), Waterloo (L)

The great thing is pretty much all of those games in which teams control their destiny is hard to predict and should be close. Thoughts?
