THE OFFICIAL HOLLYWOOD TOP 35 #7
to Nov 19/17

For the first time in a long time, no teams switched categories. Lethbridge and Regina lose their “-” but that does not affect their status for rankings purposes. The AUS teams have reached their mid-point, after next week the CW teams will have reached their midpoint, and the OUA teams will reach their midpoint sometime between now and then. Here's the week that was.

This was a tough week for the B level. McGill swept Concordia (4-1 on points), Calgary split with Regina (2-2 against a C team), Manitoba had two OTLs against Lethbridge (a C team), Carleton went 0-2-0 aginst C+ teams, York went 0-2-0 against C teams, and Ryerson went 1-1-0 against C teams. So Manitoba had a bad weekend and moved up. Very peculiar, and goes to prove that adage that “it's all relative”.

For now, all teams stand pat within their level. That may change. There are a lot of C+ teams just a shade behind the B teams.

The OUA West is hard to figure. How is it that Laurier and Guelph have yet to play? And how do you explain Windsor's record? (3-1-1 against B teams and 1-4-0 against C teams.) Are York and Ryerson really B level teams? They are staying put for now but they really are now no better than Guelph and Laurier.

Due to the blurring between B and C+, I have not really distunguished between results against those teams this week. To see how close the C+ teams are, see that MRU and UBC have played almost identical schedules and are 1 game apart in the standings, yet they are 14th and 20th.
