    Default Week 4

    OFFICIAL HOLLYWOOD TOP 27 - WEEK 4

This was the week that a lot of rankings came into focus. All with the assistance of a cross-section of lovely assistants. So let's get right down to business.

    PRIOR OHT27s:
    2016 - final
    week 1
    week 2
    week 3

    STEP 1: RESULTS

    Canada West
    Sep 16 Calgary 76 Manitoba 17
    Sep 16 Alberta 18 Regina 28
    Sep 16 Saskatchewan 10 U.B.C. 27

    Ontario
    Sep 16 Waterloo 45 Carleton 43
    Sep 16 Western Ontario 59 Windsor 7
    Sep 16 Ottawa 7 McMaster 24
    Sep 16 Laurier 40 Queen's 7
    Sep 16 Guelph 43 Toronto 6

    Quebec
    Sep 15 Sherbrooke 1 Montreal 28
    Sep 16 McGill 16 Concordia 68

    Atlantic
    Sep 15 Acadia 10 Saint Mary's 17
    Sep 15 Bishop's 32 Mount Allison 31

    STEP 2: REGIONAL RANKINGS

The rankings show each team's conference record followed by their overall record. The games marked # are non-conference games. The games marked * are games against a jabroni.

    CANADA WEST

1 Calgary (3-0, 3-1) beat Alta Reg Man lost Reg#
2 Regina (2-1, 3-1) beat Cal# UBC Alta lost Cal
3 UBC (2-1, 3-1) beat Alta# Man Sask lost Reg
4 Saskatchewan (2-1, 2-2) beat Man Alta lost McM# UBC
5 Manitoba (0-3, 0-3) lost Sask UBC Cal
    6 Alberta (0-3, 0-4) lost UBC# Cal Sask Reg

The CIS/US website has the Bedrock-Bison game as 0-0, and each team got 1 point in the standings. For now, though, Bedrock gets the win. Look:

I don't know if that is a glitch or if something happened with that game. Maybe Boss Hogg is involved!

    ONTARIO

1 W. Ontario (4-0, 4-0) beat York* Gue McM Wind*
2 McMaster (2-1, 3-1) beat Sask# Carl Ott lost UWO
3 Ottawa (3-1, 3-1) beat Gue Que York* lost McM
4 Laurier (3-0, 3-1) beat Tor* Carl Que lost Con#
5 Waterloo (4-0, 4-0) beat Wind* York* Tor* Carl
    6 Guelph (2-2, 4-2) beat SFX# MtA# Wind* Tor* lost Ott UWO
7 Carleton (1-3, 1-4) beat Que lost Lav# McM Laur Wat
    8 Queen's (0-3, 1-3) beat McG# lost Car Ott Laur
9 Toronto (1-3, 1-4) beat Wind* lost Mtl# Lau Wat Gue
    10 York (0-3, 0-4) lost Sher# UWO Wat Ott
11 Windsor (0-4, 0-4) lost Wat Tor* Gue UWO

It is hard to plug in Laurier and Waterloo. What a great improvement by Waterloo. Perhaps the best in OHT27 history.

    QUEBEC

    1 Montreal (3-0, 4-0) beat Tor# Con Lav Sher
2 Laval (2-1, 3-1) beat Car# Sher McG lost Mtl
3 Concordia (2-1, 3-1) beat Lau# Sher McG lost Mtl
4 McGill (1-2, 1-3) beat Sher lost Que# Lav Con
5 Sherbrooke (0-4, 1-4) beat York# lost Lav Con McG Mtl

The only issue here is: Who gets #2? For now, Laval.

    ATLANTIC

    1 Saint Mary's (3-0, 4-0) beat Aca# SFX Bish Aca
2 Acadia (2-2, 2-2) beat Bish SFX lost SMU# MtA SMU
    3 St. F.X. (1-2, 1-4) beat MtA lost Gue# MtA# SMU Aca
    4 Mount Allison (1-2, 2-3) beat SFX# Aca lost Gue# SFX Bish
    5 Bishop's (1-2, 0-2) beat MtA lost Aca SMU

That win by Bishop's changes a lot. After SMU, these teams are all beating one another. This means they are in a dead heat, and belong in the same rankings segment.

    STEP 3: THE BLEND

    "CONTENDERS"
    1 Montreal (3-0, 4-0) beat Tor# Con Lav Sher
2 Calgary (3-0, 3-1) beat Alta Reg Man lost Reg#
3 Regina (2-1, 3-1) beat Cal# UBC Alta lost Cal
4 Laval (2-1, 3-1) beat Car# Sher McG lost Mtl

    "THE BLOB"
5 W. Ontario (4-0, 4-0) beat York* Gue McM Wind*
6 McMaster (2-1, 3-1) beat Sask# Carl Ott lost UWO
7 UBC (2-1, 3-1) beat Alta# Man Sask lost Reg
8 Concordia (2-1, 3-1) beat Lau# Sher McG lost Mtl
9 Ottawa (3-1, 3-1) beat Gue Que York* lost McM
10 Laurier (3-0, 3-1) beat Tor* Carl Que lost Con#
11 Saskatchewan (2-1, 2-2) beat Man Alta lost McM# UBC
12 Waterloo (4-0, 4-0) beat Wind* York* Tor* Carl
    13 Guelph (2-2, 4-2) beat SFX# MtA# Wind* Tor* lost Ott UWO
14 Carleton (1-3, 1-4) beat Que lost Lav# McM Laur Wat
    15 Queen's (0-3, 1-3) beat McG# lost Car Ott Laur
    16 Saint Mary's (3-0, 4-0) beat Aca# SFX Bish Aca

    "HAM'N'EGGERS"
17 McGill (1-2, 1-3) beat Sher lost Que# Lav Con
18 Sherbrooke (0-4, 1-4) beat York# lost Lav Con McG Mtl
19 Acadia (2-2, 2-2) beat Bish SFX lost SMU# MtA SMU
20 Manitoba (0-3, 0-3) lost Sask UBC Cal
    21 Alberta (0-3, 0-4) lost UBC# Cal Sask Reg
    22 St. F.X. (1-2, 1-4) beat MtA lost Gue# MtA# SMU Aca
    23 Mount Allison (1-2, 2-3) beat SFX# Aca lost Gue# SFX Bish
    24 Bishop's (1-2, 0-2) beat MtA lost Aca SMU

    "JABRONIS"
25 Toronto (1-3, 1-4) beat Wind* lost Mtl# Lau Wat Gue
    26 York (0-3, 0-4) lost Sher# UWO Wat Ott
27 Windsor (0-4, 0-4) lost Wat Tor* Gue UWO

The AUS is jabroni-free! Their 4-team blob had to be together, and H&E they are. The SMUskies are hanging into The Blob, just barely.
