I have no idea why they'd push Towriss out the door early and then hire his assistant to take over. If the new board really felt that they needed to shake up the program, why would they follow the succession plan that was already in place?

I'm thinking that the program was on far better footing prior to the creation of this new board. If this is the sort of decision making we can expect from now on, maybe it would've been better to leave the private sector pay for fireworks and let the athletics people run the athletics program.
