They went out and got a star QB using the very loose recruiting rules of CIS and the resources of their wealthy alumni backers, and went on to win a Vanier. Meanwhile, down the road in NCAA, SFU loses most of their games, draws hardly any fans, and is pretty much irrelevant.

If we're not talking football, then perhaps they'd have more complaints. Canada West has picked up a lot of smaller schools, especially in volleyball and basketball.
