Default NHL 100th Anniversary Game in Ottawa

The media in Ottawa are reporting that Eugene Melnyk has given the green light to his Senator's playing outdoors at TD Place.

Now it is up to the NHL, OSEG, and the City of Ottawa to come up with a plan to do it. Media says they hope to have it ironed out by mid-January,

The game would be between the Sens and Canadiens. It would likely be on Dec.19 2017--the day the first NHL games were played on Dec19, 2017.On that day the Canadiens played the Sens in Ottawa. TD Place will put in extra seating for the 2017 Grey Cup and presumably leave it there for the hockey game.

Earlier in 2017 a new monument to the Stanley Cup will be unveiled in downtown Ottawa. It is to commemorate the day Governor -General Stanley donated the Cup while living in Ottawa.
