Ferdinand was certainly no joke but not an all-star RB either. He never finished above fifth in rushing yards in the QUFL over his 5-year career. See his stats:

With regards to rushing yards, a lot depends on the RB, not just the OL. And Concordia didn't have a Fils, Sené, Hamilton or Lévesque to rush like Sherbrooke, Montréal, McGill and Laval.
