Not so much about the official start to the season (although that is helpful information) but the first regular season game to be played in Atlantic Canada is announced in this article! Setp 26 Argos-Eskimos....not sure why the Als aren't involved in this game but whatever!

CFL Season kicks off on Canada Day

The 2010 Canadian Football League schedule kicks Canada Day off with a Grey Cup rematch while Moncton will host the first regular season game in Atlantic Canada on Sept. 26 featuring the Edmonton Eskimos and Toronto Argonauts.

The season opens July 1 when the Saskatchewan Roughriders host the Grey Cup champion Montreal Alouettes and the Calgary Stampeders entertain Toronto.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on July 2 and the B.C. Lions visit the Edmonton Eskimos on July 4.

The season wraps up Nov. 28 with the 98th Grey Cup Game in Edmonton.

The league goes retro in the sixth and seventh weeks of the season as teams celebrate the 1970s with retro-themed jerseys.

May be Moncton is the Argos next home....

If that happens, some Torontonians might jump for joy:)

Toronto stands to gain the most by moving a home game because of their stadium expenses, the CFL wanted to make the game in Moncton have a Grey Cup feel in an East-West match up so that's why it takes Montreal out of it for this year. Now it is a 5 year deal so expect to see Montreal in it next year.
