Little information is available, except that C&S are not willing to put any money in and no legit buyers are available (at least for the price C&S want).
I have a feeling that the Argos are in big trouble for not only the 2010 season, but their long term existence.

They've signed a number of players lately...Canadians.

The problem isn't going to be solved with signing of players. The point is that the current owners aren't putting money into the team and the list of buyers can't be long.

Would make a possible crash become probable. ;)

Argos should bounce back, at least for the sake of the league we should all hope so.

I think the problem with the Argos is, their business practices are a sham. I view the Argos as "dysfunctional".

From the Toronto Star today:
Argos future to be resolved this week, co-owner vows
The Toronto Argonauts’ murky ownership situation will be settled by the end of this week, co-owner David Cynamon has promised.
In the owners’ first public comments in months, Cynamon told The FAN 590 Thursday morning that the Canadian Football League team will either be sold to B.C. Lions owner David Braley in the next few days or that he and Howard Sokolowski would retain the team for at least another season.
“Howard and I never expected any transition of any kind to take this long, so we really feel bad and apologize to our fans for being into February with this,” Cynamon said.
He added that they had hoped to find a “synergistic partner” or move to BMO Field for next season.
“When that failed ... potentially selling the team to David Braley, yes, it possibly could happen in the next few days,” Cynamon said. “In the next few days, Howard and I, which is our real wish, could still own this team.
“But one thing we’re committed to is, that one way or another, it’s finalized this week ...”.
The league had hoped the situation could be settled by the end of its governors meetings Thursday in Florida, but that is unlikely to happen.

Personally I'm very glad to hear the attempts to move the team to BMO Field failed, that would have been bad for TFC and the amazing atmosphere created at that stadium for soccer! It would be interesting if a CFL owner had two teams under his belt though, how would that pan out? Anyways stay tuned for more...

Biggest concern for me is the 25% ownership of the league by one person. Does not look good.
Furthermore, if info about the losses is true then it would be hard for any owner to make money on the Argos.

A sign of things turning around might be seeing Jim Barker as head coach. Appears on the three sports networks and the Globe and Mail that it's a done deal to be announced soon officially by the club and the League.

Barker had a tough go at it in his first stint as an Argos coach (departure of Flutie). This seems like an even harder challenge. Regardless, I don't see Argos making the playoffs this year.
