View Full Version : SIR SPUD CALLS ALL AUS NOBLES TO UNITE!!!

Spud
2007-11-11, 10:23
Sir Spud dismounts BONECRUSHER and surveys the landscape of the upcoming battle. The Evil WEENIES are coming....and righteous and good SMU army will be waiting for them.

Sir Spud calls upon all the AUS NOBLES to FLY the SMU banner proudly to support this historic battle of good vs. evil....of enlightened fans vs. johnny come lately, don't know the rules, don't have donairs, Laval jersey wearing, WANKERS!!!!

Sir Spud stands upon holy ground at Huskies Stadium, as he prepares to addresses all that will answered the call.......we shall leave it all on the field of honor, we shall come at them from all sides, we shall deliver such a blow that it will be talked about by our sons sons....and our sons sons, shall talk of the time the evil empire came...and the best of the AUS slayed them.:p

Nobles, we fight amongst ourselves all season, as of course we must....but now that is behind us.....let us unite under one banner, one set of colors as we slay the evil dragon. For too long we have to listen to the Weenies and their boasts of greatness.....it is time now to cut off the Dragons head.

Stand with me, so we can offer up the largest and most elaborate AVATAR Challenge of all DOT ORG TIME!!!!:p

AUS nobles post below, and say I'm In. ( and add a Laval insult which is of course tradition:D ). Once our army is assembled then I will be taking the challenge to the Cardinal and slap him with my studded gloves witch I had custom made for this weeks battle.

Be scared Weenies be VERY SCARED!!!!

Well, Marton, I wouldn’t be too confident. Today is one of Remembrance for me…

I’ve never been involved in a medieval battle before, but I understand I should get a horse. Aside from Farmer Dan and BigJake, I don’t know much about animals, domestic or otherwise :D

So I’ve been shopping around for a stallion & picked this beauty. The online horse trader tells me that it's ready for battle as I won’t even need to paint it

http://www.wildlife-pictures-online.com/image-files/xzebtala34.jpg

So, Sir Spud, IM IN and I’ll soon be ready for battle. I’m having a hard time insulting my R&O opponents as I was so well greeted by them on my last trip at the Peps (that you missed, by the way :p ).

But fear not. They’ll soon get under my skin once they become verbally abusive to our coalition & I’ll quickly get into the swing (no dancing pun intended) of things… :D

There, you're welcome :)

i got yer back Spudley. I'M IN!

i cant think of anything nasty to say to my weenie buddies. i am glad tho that Bizz predicts a blowout, cuz i see his weekly picks and they are always wrong! :D so i am quite confident that the opposite will occur :D

i will be happy as the victor to buy my vanquished weenie buddies a beer after the game and let them get their picture taken with SMU holdin the cup!

Well, Marton, I wouldn’t be too confident. Today is one of Remembrance for me…

Remembering the beating SMU took in 2003 in that same stadium, or simply thinking of how long it took to score an offensive TD against Laval and trying to figure your chances of scoring one this weekend?

I also suggest to remember the 2006 AUS performance in the Uteck.

I understand your position, if I was a pretending to be noble AUS fan, I would as well prepare the Uteck remembrance day ... the day where you fool fought when you knew you had no chances to win ... but at least took the beating with dignity.:D

Sorry but the city of Laval is a fusion of numerous smaller cities and, unless I miss my guess, the name was given after the fondation of Laval university but from the same inspiration, Mgr François de Laval. We owe him Laval university and, indirectly, University of Montreal.

You should bring your mutt with you to the game. My Twin is confident I could teach him to assist you in pick up what remains of the R&O once the game is over :D ;)

Well yes of course NOBLES are important!!!!!:D

Being a noble means you are NOT a Dot ORG peasant!!!

Being a noble means that you have to pay taxes, and homage to those further up the NOBILITY FOOD CHAIN.

Being a noble means that you must take up arms when your are called upon to go to war.

Being a noble means bringing beer to the annual Summer AUS NOBLES BBQ, and getting a discount card to buy donairs with.

It also means you get a fancy title and have to shine your armour from time to time.

Now take an Knee and let me make this official.

500tonelevators, I Sir SPUD, being the leader of the SMU NOBLES, and local chapter of the AUS nobles, and second past president of the CIS NOBLITILITY ALLIANCE (CNA) and President of the local Moat Builders Union and President elect of the Canadian Catapult Society....do hereby and with great fanfair, bestow up thee the title of BARON ELEVATORS (or BARONVATOR if you prefer which sounds kind of cool).

Now SMU faithfuls is the time for you to get scared...very scared !!

The reason :

The one and only Cardinal Bizz, almost undefeated in avatar challenges with a record of 24-1 with 24 wins by knock-out is entering the ring :

In the Red and Gold corner, the undisputed Champion of the Avatar Challenges World :
Caarrdinal Biiiiizzzzzzzz !!!

In the slimy maroon (beuaarrk!) corner, the others....

Are you ready to Rrrrrrruummbbllllllllllllllllle ???

For SMU grads, it means : I'm In !!!

Hmm, hmm,

Squire Lee walks timidly to the towncenter. Fire is burning in his heart as he remembers the passionate war declarations of His Excellency Cardinal Bizz and of Lord Fenris, Laval court's famous and feared Wizard and Master of the Elements. He is about to enter his very first Avatar Challenge, with those foul smelling, cousin marrying, short necked, slow minded, self-proclaimed nobles from the sterile and bad weathered land of Nova Scotia. He knows how to recognized them, aside from their crossed-eyes and empty glaze, as they all got a big blue hematoma on their nose. The Blue Nosers got their distinctive mark at the age of 18, when they come of age and start using that fancy little tool called a spoon to eat whatever they eat over there and oh God do they find it difficult to coordinate the approach of that Thpoon (as they call it over there) inside there mouth, just under the big furuncle-loaded thing that serves their breathing.

But I need to put all those thoughts aside, thinks Squire Lee, as he clear his throat and try to get the attention of the few who are gathered, as purposeless as a SMU grad (which they are, he remembered). He sees a set of twins that try to teach some easy words to a big drooling Ogre wearing a hat with a funny little propeller over it. It doesn't seem to be a success however, as some easy name such as Mattrak, Matrix and The Champions become Meatrack, Mattress and Weenies. And In they other corner, one hunchback is trying to explain to another hunchback the easiest way to distract his wife/cousin while he'll be at the battleground. Squire Lee sighs as he now understands that proper diction isn't something they care about in SMUland. Finally, he sees a long haired guy wearing a #10 SMU jersey, all crumpled in fetal position, rolling back and forth and trembling from every part of his body. He sits just behind the long-dried fountain featuring the very first SMU grad (the one who drowned himself in his janitor's bucket, trying to pick up a penny that fell from the pocket of a shirt he made for himself out of a potato bag). All you could hear coming out of the mouth of this poor soul is the mumbling of a name, repeated over and over : "Maranda, Maranda, ..."

So it's there, in the middle of this strange gathering, that for the first time Squire Lee pronounced the mystic words :

I'M IN

And they're he renounced momentarily to his cozy job in Laval Castle's stables and took up the arms alongside his powerful Masters. Those THMU Thupporters are in for the beating of their lives, he grins.

Yeah... that's a bit of a shame for me.

But you got to know that the post-knighting ceremony party was kinda hard for me. I wanted to make it a day to remember, you know, to mark to transition from an humble and loyal Squire to a blood-thirsty and merciless Admiral, but it was the other way around... I think I abused of the Laval's Victory Ale, and probably of the Chocolate Cake too... Anyway, I'm only beginning to get some mementos of that crazy evening.

I got to say that I still like horses (not the same way people from SMUland like them though...) and I'll probably be able to continue caring to all the fierce beasts of Laval's Nobility when I won't be ravaging the 7 seas with all the power of Laval Imperial Fleet.

My mothership "Vanier IV" and my crew are ready for departure. Captain Ulaval Fan did a great job getting everything and everyone ready. I've already got an appointment with Cardinal Bizz so he can rename my ship "Vanier V" as soon as December comes. I shall track down and sunk the vicious fleet of St-Mary's as soon as their Commander-in-chief, the one who call himself Captain Morgan, get sober enough to take the sea with his ships (I know this could take a while...)

I'm off now. Got to get some seasick pills at the drug store and try to learn how a freaking compass works.

Do not worry my dear Admiral, as it appears that there is two of us who could'nt remember a damn thing about that ceremony and I just noticed this morning that I was wearing a superb red and Gold uniform (whose idea was it to invite the cheerleaders anyway?? Whoever he was, give him my thanks :D ) Ah too bad I can't remember a thing... but that uniform is nice though...maybe I should change the hat...I really don't like it...looks too much like La Tuque hat...ah well, at least the colours are much nicer...could you imagine that thing in marroon? yikes! Now, where was I ... ah yeah cheer for laval et blast SMU or is it the other way around? (Men, I must remember never to drink that stuff that Fenris is distilling in his basement ever again).

Attention all of you SMU supporters! Behold the...(theatrical coughing in the background)? What was that Admiral? I must now talk like a seaman? You mean with all the "Arrrg" between sentences and the "Aye Aye sir!" and everything?? Must I really? If you say so...

Arrrgg!! Know all of you filthy SMU supporters that the terror of ... What Admiral? What do you mean long words? "Suppporters" is'nt a long word! I Know, but surelly even a SMU grad can understand a word of three syllables! No more then 2?? You're sure?! Man! That's gonna be a challenge!

heu.... Arrgg! (yes, that's a good start) all of you SMU filthy dogs should prepare to face the biggest odds you ever faced come saturday! We cleverly lurred you into believing that you could stand toe-to-toe with the mighty rouge et or by sending out our B team on the field for our last game, but know all of you who read this that all your hopes of ever returning to the Vanier will be crushed by the real Laval team on saturday! The fleet is fully loaded and we have set sails towards the Vanier ... WHAT??!! What do you mean we're going the wrong way? The Vanier is the other way you say? We should be going west you say, then why did you set a east course idiot?? Heu I mean Admiral. Yes Sir! I know Sir. I know Sir, won't happen again Sir. But please explain to me why we are going east instead of west? Orders from cardinal Bizz you say? Did he say why? To show these dog lovers dressed in maroon that they can't score a TD against our defense? But does'nt everyone knows that by now?? They don't beleive us?? Ah, why not, I could be fun I guess. Plus we are running low on provisions and a couple of dead huskies will give us enough food to make it to Toronto. :D

Let the fight begin! Go Laval!

(it's my fisrt shot at this, please be gentle):o

I'll be out hunting this week end in Sherby but I'll cut myself from the rest of the world and trying to avoid getting any news from the game but that doesn't keep me from saying that it's open season for deers but it is open for the puppies as well...

I'M IN !!!!!

All right, it's getting late in the week, so it is time.

As the stakes are high, as it is a good rivalry, and as this one does not feel like poaching candy from small children, the time has come to show that I really believe in my alumni's team by puting my avatar on the line for the first time since I joined the board:

:) J'EN SUIS - I'M IN! :)

Despite the tough and skilled opposition, the R&O will win. They have shown this year that victory does not get old after a while, that the hunger for more can be maintained. It's not me bragging: I don't say "we", "my team" or "us" when I talk of this fine group of athletes, for I am not playing with them (and good for them too!), I am just one of 12,000, yelling at the opposing offence at home games. I am merely telling it as I see it: on a good day, they are invincible. On a bad day, good teams have a shot at them if they can get their act together.

As the stakes get higher every game, the probability of a bad day from the R&O becomes slimmer. Yes, it is true of any team, I guess, that they can win against anyone if, and only if, they have that good day. "Any given sunday" is the cliché we use for those upsets. In the case of the R&O, we should say "Every given sunday"! :)

I mean no disrespect to the deserving and valorous Huskies, a team I have come to appreciate during the many duels they have had with the R&O. But they can't win this, even while doing their best, if the R&O brings its A-game to bear. :D

Should SMU win though, far from me the idea of tarnishing this hypothetical victory with whinings of "the R&O beat itself, the Huskies had nothing to do with it!". Not me sir! Mental preparation and fortitude are as much part of the game as the physical aspects of it. They who win, will win fair and square, and no excuses!

Now, lest I appear to weaken in my belief by making such provisions for a possible defeat by my favourites, I would be remiss not to reiterate that this scenario is highly improbable! :D

But if it comes to that, I'll be glad to wear the SMU Huskies colors as my avatar and cheer them in front of my TV for the Vanier Cup game.

Have a nice day tomorrow, it should be a great game!

À votre santé,

when people talk about the B team, are they suggesting there is no depth on laval ?

Speaking of Bonecrusher... LT just called me. He's on his way home. He didn't want to know the game outcome. He wants to read the thread. :D

I'm sure he figured out from my excitement that it was a great one. :D

He asked me to post this pic he's been saving of the Weinies' stallions at the game

Tonton & Sebby:

Wait till I tell him Laval didn't score an OFFENSIVE TD. He's gonna flip :D :D :D

* sigh *

I know. It's one thing to lose, but to lose like that? When you know they're better than that?

It's no use berating the players. They know better than anyone that they f***ed-up. I'm sure they feel much worse than I do.

I just wish they had at least offered some resistance. Now, they'll take no end of shit for it.

Ah, better stop writing now. I've been typing and deleting lines for 15 minutes now, and sooner or later, something distasteful is bound to slip by.

Congrats SMU, well played.
