...Easy win!..
You got it wrong there, Marton.

X will win its first game on the road at SMU this century.

Want to know why? Because I listened to the R&O @ X game last week in French. These nut bars with the Laval microphones really know their football & I picked up all sort of pointers that I PMed to Bloomer all week.

It'll be a good thing for SMU as, after their loss to X, they'll be able to adjust their game for their next meet with the R&O.

Here is one of the great pointers I picked up from the black & white guys (you couldn't call them "colour" commentators now, could you?) :D :

If that open WR had caught that pass, he could have made all the way to the Red Zone before being caught.

I feel that starting this new main category is a well planned plot to trap me and bar me, an rare X-Fan, for life on this forum. :(

First: there must have been a petition to move Avatar Challenges from "The Pub" to "In This Corner". Nobody knocked on my door to sign it

Next: I was quite eager to "Twist Again" with Lady Mrs Trk "In This Corner" and was getting ready to post my usual "well-researched" crap, when

The LAST Straw: I noticed that the main category has been changed to "Personal Fouls"...

Well, I saw through that trap & there is no way I'll commit any personal foul against a lady, in particular against Lady Mrs Trk

Looks to me like another darn conspiracy by SMUgs scared caca-less about X finally winning their first game of the century in Halifax

Does this mean the Lady and I will need a Zebra to stand between the two of us while we let it all hang out in a Wild Twist with blasting Chubby Checker's music so I don't commit a whole bunch of personal fouls???

Come on, CJ, I don't blame you for not trusting me, but at least trust the Lady ... Gosh, how insulted she must feel ... :o

Dear La Tuque

First: Twist is the name of my dog. Please don't abuse it... I mean the name but please don't abuse my dog either. :p

The name is appropriate in two way.

First, personal fouls isn't a bad description of the various insults going around here. :D :p

Second, seeing the bets you take, you are surely someone's personal fool... :p :D

I've just researched "Personal Foul" in the "Football Glossary" and have found the following:

Definition: A flagrant illegal act that is generally deemed to unnecessarily risk the health of other players.

Examples: Personal fouls include, but are not limited to late hits, unnecessary roughness, and blows to the head. () A personal foul results in a 15-yard penalty against the offending team.

Do we now have "Full Contact Avatar Challenges"?

Well, my Dear Lady Mrs Trk, looks like we’re stuck in a quandary here. We’re two fans of legal age cheering for opposite teams and we’re eager to follow the tradition of dot.org & go at each other, so to speak, in a typical Avatar challenge.

But some Yahoos changed the rules on us & we both have to be careful about those “Personal Foul” penalties we’re facing should either one of us “get caught” committing an infraction.

Now, one way of not “getting caught” would be to continue this challenge by PM, but what’s the “thrill” in that…. I’m an extrovert who’s not used to getting beat up in public, particularly by a Lady, but what the heck. My team needs me again to show support and I sure can do the Twist..

http://www.ruedusmiley.com/emoticones/humour%20(14).gif

I carefully studied the definition of Personal Fouls you were so kind to post, and I think I have “ways” to get around the Zebras.

A flagrant illegal act that is generally deemed to unnecessarily risk the health of other players.
There is no problem with that part. I may not be a pedigree X dog, but I come from a good breed whose origin can be traced to what is called the “57 Heinz Family Tree”, well known for the careful gene matching characteristics of best tempered puppies. I get my shots & boosters annually. I take heart worm pills on a monthly basis. I wear a flea collar and my nails are kept short. So, should there be any "accidental" contact between us, your health should not be at risk. ;)

Personal fouls include, but are not limited to late hits, unnecessary roughness, and blows to the head...

I think I can get around that too as I promise not to do any of these nasty things. But watch out for “early hits” ...:D :D :D

Do we now have "Full Contact Avatar Challenges"?

Well, I don’t think that any contact at all will be of concern “this time”. After all, we’re only gonna Twist, aren’t we? Nevertheless, as a precaution, I took the liberty of ordering video cameras for installation in all corners of the site, particularly the poorly lit ones, so that we can appeal to the dot.org Avatar Challenge Commission should an overzealous zesty zebra call a penalty on either one of us.

Please let me know if you feel safe to pursue the challenge in this unusual environment, and I’ll take it from there. While you ponder your decision, I trust you’ll enjoy two of my favourites from Barry Manilow I sent by PM: Somewhere Down The Road and Looks Like We Made It

My dear Lady Mrs Trk,

Looks like I goofed big time and committed a serious personal foul by publicly insulting BigJake's Bride :o

http://www.cisfootball.org/forums/showthread.php?p=16724#post16724

The Twin did his best and tried to cover up for me but it doesn't seem to be working 'cause she's still really peed off... :o

As a gesture of contrition and to get back in her good books, I offered her to pick my Avatar should X lose at SMU this weekend. I know I had no right whatsoever to make such an offer without consulting with you first, but this WAS an emergency & you must be screening your calls or something.

So, my dear Lady, I hope you’ll be amenable to a compromise of some sort, such as wearing you Avatar for 3 days (should X lose) and hers for 3 days (again, should X lose). Or I can do my best to fit your Avatar & hers on my big head for the full period (should X lose).

So, Lady, how would you like to cut the pie (should X lose)

However, should X win, you will be dispensed from wearing an X Avatar and BigMouth BigJerky (who squealed on me) will wear one of my choice. :D ;)

Dear Bride of BJ:

I come to the defence of LT (aka "Latent laTwirp") - he is definitely in need of a friend and it appears I'm the only one willing to accept this sizeable, perhaps insurmountable, challenge. :o

While his comment, and I quote:

"what kind of purple pill sucking idiot gets married on the 13th of any month? Did you think getting married on the 13th would bring you "Good Luck"?"

is, yes, lacking in any form of, well, intelligence, I do submit that this affront was, in fact, directed at Sir Spud. It was BJ who chose to take laTwirp's misstep and, with a broad brush, apply his comment to all who would choose October 13th for their nuptuals. The comment, while thoughtless and, yup, goofy, was not intended to harm your previously amiable relationship with laTwirp. It was, it appears, your Mate who chose to implicate laTwirp in this sullen affair. (And yank your chain.)

Secondly, and again coming to the defence of laTwirp, he is of the (mistaken yet again) opinion that October the 13th is a day that always avoids good fortune but, and again, he would be wrong. October the 13th is ONLY a day of questionable fortune if it falls on a Friday. It appears that October 13th, 1979 (clearly, the happiest day of your life:rolleyes: ) fell on a Saturday and is, therefore, not subject to the fears aligned with triskaidekaphobiacs as such.

I would, therefore, implore you to consider laTwirp for leniancy. Know the phrase "He knows not what he does"? It comes with a colour picture of LT. But for a guy with multiple personalities, he is quite high functioning. He just steps in it regularly. Remember, we must love him not just for what he is but, most importantly, for what he is not.

A compromise has been offered where we share the week. With your permission, I will accept this offer with laTwirp. He'll be wearin' Huskies something no matter what once the Big Dogs have had their way with the X-ees.

He'll be our cross-dressing little lap dog for another week with all the fun that comes to the victor! :D

Old Dog
2007-10-03, 12:07
I'm worried about LT. Please don't hold him responsible for anything he says.

Two years of wearing a different avtar every week is wreaking havoc on him and the Twin's psyche. For a multiple personality fella, a new identity every week is like throwing gas on a fire. If someone doesn't adjust his purle pill dosage soon he'll end up in unit 9 where Spud spent the winter.

My Dear Super Lady Mrs Trk,

Thank you SO MUCH for coming to my defence. Your intervention will likely save me from going back to the closest SPCA shelter that accepts French barking puppies…

http://www.spca-outaouais.org/

I must admit that I really got zinged by that rotten lyin’ Bride’s husband, who posted:

dont get me involved...the bride's a lurker...saw it for herself...ha ha ha

AFTER HE HAD POSTED

:D :D :D uh-oh la tuquey r u in it! ha :D guess who's 28th is oct 13th? and u called the bride a purple pill suckin idiot ahahahaha :D :D cant wait to show her this! perfect...:D

As a result, I’ve come to the conclusion that I must protect my privileged relationship with the scoundrel’s Bride and make amend by treating her to a “za” at the Greek’s place, while BJ the Geek waits in the car for crusts, should any be left over (which I doubt very much). :p

I’ll bring along my five favourite marriage counsellors (from my five prior divorces) to explore with the Bride whether there is any hope for BJ. I mean, once one starts lying on this forum, only Lucifer know how far one will go outside of it, and I feel it had become my duty to protect the Bride from this unrepentant excuse for a Hubby …

As for the rest of your punctual comments, I will consult privately with CJ to determine whether I should permanently change my handle to a more fitting one for all my faux pas, such as laTwirp :D

As an X fan, I find it quite refreshing (and reassuring) to experience such compassion from a SMU one… :o Neither the Twin nor X fans came to my defence…

Time for another signature change

Well, Lady Mrs Trk, I think that BJ's Bride will turn down my invitation from a pizza "tête à tête" at the Greek's Pub/Rest. :o

Just got an e-mail from her that I won't post here, but it has to do with some guy named Ronald Opus committing suicide in the most unusual way (true). What should I read into it? :D :D :D

That likely means she also turned down your and my offer for "laTwirp" to share an SMU avatar (should X lose on Friday).

So, looks like we're back to square one. Turn on the music & let's get at it.

X by 10 at the very least

Ready, Lady???

I picked a DJ to get us sweating a bit. He reminded me of how big the head of MALE Huskies fans has swollen since they got 4 wins in a row: http://users.teledisnet.be/web/mde28256/smiley/yeah_baby.gif

Then, I ensured he’d play these “modified” lyrics while we shake our bootie (I didn’t change the chorus; hope you won’t be offended):

Actual lyrics: http://www.lyricsdomain.com/7/geri_halliwell/shake_your_bootie_cutie.html

Hello Grumpy Baldy http://users.teledisnet.be/web/mde28256/smiley/x.gif
Hello Sexy Cheer Lady http://www.ruedusmiley.com/smileys/fetard%20(118).gif

Come on, bring your BAD self down here
I wanna see you do your thing
Come on, come on
Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
Forget coffee & small talk. It's football time

You walk the walk, you talk the talk
We met by chance,
Conversation's fine
But I haven't got the time
CIS football is the only thing on my mind

We're doin' it Lady
We're out here on the floor tonight, yeah
No worries Lady
But don’t let Friday’s game out of your mind

[Chorus 1:]
Shake your bootie cutie
And show me you can dance
Come on, sexy no-belly Lady
I wanna watch you swing your pants, yeah :o

[Verse 3]
I'm a girl who loves to embarrass
All the twirps who cheer for X
And, La Tuque, that makes you next!!!
I’m as though as the Huskies
We don’t put up with X sissies
So be ready to land on you’re a$$ http://users.teledisnet.be/web/mde28256/smiley/infirmiere.gif

[Bridge]
We're doin' it Lady
We're out here on the floor tonight, yeah
No worries Lady
But don’t forget the game Friday night

[Chorus 2]
Shake your bootie cutie
And show me you can dance
Come on, Sexy Cheer Chickie
Let’s forget about Friday night, yeah

Shake your bootie cutie
You are the dancing king
You’re Mr. X Fan, baby can you dig
You really make my mind spin
Shake that healthy mutt :D

[Chorus 3]

Shake your bootie cutie
And show me you can dance
Come on, sexy Cheer Lady
I wanna watch you swing your pants , yeah :o :o

Then, I picked some impartial judges to determine which one of us can best shake his/her bootie:

http://users.teledisnet.be/web/mde28256/smiley/Shamanosuke/3630.pnghttp://users.teledisnet.be/web/mde28256/smiley/Shamanosuke/3630.pnghttp://users.teledisnet.be/web/mde28256/smiley/Shamanosuke/3630.pnghttp://users.teledisnet.be/web/mde28256/smiley/Shamanosuke/3630.pnghttp://users.teledisnet.be/web/mde28256/smiley/Shamanosuke/3630.pnghttp://users.teledisnet.be/web/mde28256/smiley/Shamanosuke/3630.pnghttp://users.teledisnet.be/web/mde28256/smiley/Shamanosuke/3630.pnghttp://users.teledisnet.be/web/mde28256/smiley/Shamanosuke/3630.png

Finally, the judges’ verdict is in

Well, Lady Mrs Trk, we've been boogieing all week & my head is really spinning http://www.ruedusmiley.com/smileys/confus%20(7).gif

The last dance is coming up. I hope you won't object to this request, but I'd much appreciate if you'd allowed me to lead for at least one dance this week :D :D :D

I wish your Huskies the best for tonight. They're the top AUS team so far but my X-Men are also ready to boogie and, unlike me, they won't allow them to lead ANY dance :D

They're not scared by the "strange" city of Halifax, the night bright lights on the dance floor or the make believe grass on your field http://www.ruedusmiley.com/smileys/confus%20(8).gif.

What worries them is those darn Halifax donairs after the game http://www.ruedusmiley.com/smileys/manger%20(3).gif

Well, LT, I've had a blast aussi! :) :)

But the time has come to doft your newest garb and honour your latest avatar challenge. For your convenience, I've attached your newest adornment and, if your reading glasses have gone amiss (hear it happens at your age ;) ), the darling teddy says "X-Me" on her bosom. :D She's non-inflatable but unflappable and the two of should get on swimmingly. I was embarrassed in more ways than one last night at the Black Pearl. :o

It was quite a stupid idea to invite a bunch of buddies to follow the game with BJ, the Bride & me as it ended up with more & more people laffing at me & the team I cheer for.

I really like the avatar I'll be wearing this week, Lady Mrs Trk. It's a lot better than the outfit below... I felt that my white X Tuque was a better match than my blue one for the sun dress. What do you think?

Also, you were quite right that I wouldn't need my wallet. :D

If only these darn drunks out there hadn't kept lifting my dress to see if I was "Commando", I would have got a lot more free drinks :D :D :D

Thanks, Farmer Dan (on my right), on making sure I made it home without being molested too much, considering the bunch of weirdos at the Pub last night :D :D :D
